Gleaming the Cube is an 80's classic that combines skateboarding with international drug smuggling. The plot is well-paced, keeping the audience engaged throughout. The cameos by Tony Hawk and a Pizza Hut van add to the nostalgic value of the film. Although the movie may not be the greatest made, it still has sentimental value for those who grew up watching it. The DVD plays well and is of good quality. The only downside is that the transfer quality is a bit shaky and grainy in some scenes.
