Contiene diez capitulos en los que se describen los distintos estudiosque pueden realizarse con SolidWorks Simulation, desde estudios de validacion estaticos, termicos, frecuencia y pandeo, fatiga, estudios de diseno de optimizacion, de caida, hasta estudios de recipientes a presion. Es un texto visual, practico, de facil y rapida lectura con el que podra entender y llegar a aplicar un estudio de validacion de diseno de forma inmediata. Cada uno de los capitulos contiene conceptos teoricos preliminares que le ayudaran a conocer los menus, iconos y opciones del estudio a tratar. Ademas, al final de cada uno de ellos se presentan practicas guiadas y otras propuestas de refuerzo con los modelos contenidos en el DVD que acompana el libro. Sergio Gomez Gonzalez: Doctor Ingeniero de Materiales, Ingeniero Quimico e Ingeniero de Materiales por la Universidad de Catalunya (UPC). Es profesor de Ingenieria Grafica en la UPC desde el ano 1999 donde es coordinador de una asignatura optativa de Grado y forma parte del Grupo de Investigacion InSUP (Investigacion en Interaccion de Superficies en Bioingenieria y Ciencia de los Materiales). Compagina la docencia universitaria con la ensenanza en Ciclos Formativos de Grado Superior de Diseno y Fabricacion Mecanica en lfEscola del Treball de Barcelona, donde es Jefe de Estudios. Participa en la confeccion de cursos y metodologias de ensenanzaaprendizaje de CADCAMCAE e Impresion 3D en varios centros educativos publicos y privados. Como docente universitario ha escrito articulos en revistas cientificas y tecnicas y ha registrado varias patentes en el sector biomedico y biomimetico. Como escritor de libros tecnicos ha publicado una veintena de libros relacionados con las materias que imparte como profesor.
