Ages 16 and Over Format Movies Editorial Review
Modelo 77 (Blu-ray) is a gripping drama directed by Alberto Rodríguez, featuring standout performances from actors like Miguel Herrán and Javier Gutiérrez. The film delves into the harsh realities faced by prisoners during a pivotal time in Spain's history. With a runtime of 2 hours and presented in a stunning 2.39:1 aspect ratio, this Blu-ray edition showcases superb image quality, although some viewers noted the sound could be improved. Extras include small clips of making-of footage, a teaser, and a photo gallery—nice additions but not particularly extensive. Overall, it's a highly recommended title for those interested in significant Spanish cinema.
