iOptron SkyTracker Pro Camera Mount with Polar Scope, Mount Only
The iOptron SkyTracker Pro is a reliable and useful device for astrophotography thanks to its directional tracking abilities. While it is not always easy to exactly align the unit, the device is able to track the stars with a high level of precision. It is a good idea for users to purchase an adapter for their camera, and the iOptron SkyTracker Pro is known to work well with smaller lenses but not larger ones. Users recommend purchasing an "Orion 7033 Precision Slow-Motion Adapter" and mounting it using a "CAMVATE 3/8"-16 female to 1/4"-20 male Adapter for tripod and camera and tripod." Some users describe having to recalibrate the product every time they move the tripod, and it is harder to align when there is no clear sight to Polaris. The unit is not silent, but its noise level during its tracking mode is still tolerable. With an app's help, the product can be accurate. Although, some people claim that the bubble level mounted on its alt/az mount is inaccurate. In summary, the iOptron SkyTracker Pro is a reliable product for those wanting to capture stunning photographs of the stars, sun, and moon. However, not being able to see Polaris or having a clear view of the sky may lead to difficulty aligning. The product works better for those with smaller lenses, and it may require additional accessories to work with larger lenses.
