Furthermore, for side mounting, the mount comes with 3/4" pan head self-tapping screws, and a 2" #10-24 zinc-plated steel Phillips round head machine screw for larger mailboxes to make installation much simpler. However, some customers have reported that the included screws were too short, and the mount is not very sturdy when side-mounted. Some users complained of difficulty removing the mounts for a side mount from the single-mold plastic piece and also that the mounts did not fit jumbo mailboxes. Some users claimed that the bracket's instructions were challenging to understand and required some problem-solving skills.
