To connect the microphone to your PC for recording voice, you require an interface device for phantom power supply. The mic is a neutral one with a brighter tone can be EQ'd as you like. It is quieter than many other mics in quiet studio settings. You can adjust the db pad settings or reduce the recording volume if the red light is not coming on when it is clipping.
