- Shell Helix Ultra Professional AG 5W-30 is a 100% synthetic high-tech engine oil developed to meet the demanding standards of manufacturers such as General Motors, Opel and Vauxhall. It has been specially developed for GM specification dexos2 and Vauxhall standard OV 040 1547-D30 and ensures full compatibility with latest generation petrol and diesel engines, including those with exhaust aftertreatment systems.
- Its advanced formulation has passed rigorous internal testing by GM to ensure optimal valve train protection, oxidation control, wear reduction and viscosity stability. It performs excellently in tests such as the GM RNT wear test, GM DUR019 test for diesel engines and the OP-1 cleaning test for petrol engines. This versatility makes it an ideal choice for both city traffic and long journeys with high thermal requirements.
- Shell has equipped this lubricant with its exclusive active cleaning technology that prevents the formation of deposits on pistons, mud and soot. It exceeds the industry's most stringent tests, such as the ASTM IIIG test and the VW TDI ring cleaning test. This keeps the engine cleaner for longer, preserves the original performance and reduces the need for premature maintenance.
- As for its technical characteristics, this oil has a viscosity index of 174, a viscosity at 100°C of 12.11cSt, a flash point of 238°C and a freezing point of -45°C. These values reflect excellent thermal stability, oxidation resistance and high performance in cold starts. Its balanced density and good fluidity make it ideal for different climates and extreme working conditions.
- APPLICATION For use in petrol or diesel engines requiring SAE 5W-30 oil with API SN, ACEA C3 or GM dexos2 approvals. Please always check the manual of your vehicle before use. Do not mix with other lubricants. Avoid prolonged skin contact and dispense the used oil at an authorised collection point. This lubricant is a professional high-performance solution designed for cleanliness, durability and energy efficiency.
